Your first campaign: step by step
A campaign is your search: what we look for, where we look, who handles what is found, and how much we spend on it. This
article walks through all four steps of the wizard.
Before you start
- Fill in the company brain - without it, replies will be generic.
- If you plan to work with Telegram chats, connect a Telegram account (Settings â Accounts). LinkedIn, Reddit, X,
Bluesky and Hacker News need no connection; Threads needs a Threads account.
Opening the wizard
The Campaigns section â the New campaign button. The wizard opens on the first of four steps: What to look for â Where
to look â Agents â Limits and launch.
The draft is saved automatically: if you leave the wizard, the campaign stays in the list marked as a Draft, and you can
finish it later.
Step 1 - What to look for
1. Campaign name - something clear to you, for example "Food delivery - Kyiv". It will show up in the feed and
analytics filters.
2. Recommendations. Press Suggest keywords - Telegrin proposes keywords based on the company brain and the words you
have already added. Pick the ones that fit; do not add the rest.
3. Keywords. Type a word and press Enter (or a comma). This is the most important field: on LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads,
X, Bluesky and Hacker News, keywords are the search query, meaning they are exactly what we search by. In Telegram
they work as a filter and can be left empty.
4. Micro-context for AI (up to 200 characters) - briefly, who you are looking for. For example: "looking for people
asking about food delivery, not about logistics".
5. Stop words - messages containing them are dropped before AI analysis, meaning for free. The classics: "vacancy",
"resume", "advertising".
â ī¸ Important about micro-context: an empty field means the search runs on keywords alone, and for Telegram that is free.
A filled field switches on an extra AI check by meaning: precision is higher, but every check costs 1 credit.
âšī¸ Note: two optional keyword sets are switched on separately - Include brand keywords (your brand names: AI understands
when people are asking about you) and Include competitor keywords (competitor names). Each switch opens its own field
for words. Turning a switch off erases that group's words.
You do not need to polish the micro-context text yourself: Telegrin does it when you leave the field, and shows an
unobtrusive note that lets you restore your own version.
Step 2 - Where to look
Pick one or several channels - signals from all of them land in one shared feed. Clicking a channel card opens its
settings immediately.
- Telegram. Pick an account and say what to watch: Chats, Channel posts or Both. Then tick the specific chats from the
list - only the ones your account is already in are shown.
- Threads. A connected account is needed. The search source is your keywords.
- LinkedIn. Nothing to connect. You can narrow the search with author filters: Author industries and Author companies.
Posts that fail the filter are dropped before credits are spent.
- Reddit. Nothing to connect. Name the subreddits to narrow the search: an empty field means searching all of Reddit,
so the AI checks more posts and uses more credits (still 1 credit per checked post).
- X (Twitter). Nothing to connect. The search source is your keywords.
- Bluesky. Nothing to connect - the search runs through our account. The search source is your keywords.
- Hacker News. Nothing to connect - the search runs through Hacker News's official search. The search source is your
keywords.
Press Done to save a channel's settings. Cancel removes a channel you have just added from the selection.
đĄ Tip: start with one or two channels. You can add another at any time, but working out why you have too many or too few
signals is much easier when there are only a few sources.
Step 3 - Agents
The step opens with two options:
- Continue without agents - the campaign runs on keywords alone. The cheapest mode.
- Set up agents - attach an analyst, a responder and a deliverer.
If you pick the second option, you will see collapsed groups: your own agents by type and a separate Our templates group
- ready-made agents you can attach right away.
The same place has a Telegram alerts for this campaign switch: the lead card lands in the bot. It is on by default.
Details are in the article "Step 3: agents in a campaign".
Step 4 - Limits and launch
1. Daily budgets - a credit limit per day for each channel. An empty field means no limit.
2. Check cadence. This is no longer something you set - Telegrin runs the checks itself, at a smart pace: it searches
more often on the queries that bring leads, and Telegram is checked in real time. Nothing to configure.
3. Scan the last 24 hours - on by default. Telegrin checks the past day's activity and finds leads you may have missed.
Switch it off if you only want new messages.
4. On the right - the Summary: keywords, stop words, channels and agents. Check it and press Launch campaign.
The campaign appears in the list, and monitoring starts immediately.
â ī¸ Important about credits: an empty scan - when AI checked no messages - is free. You pay only for results: 1 credit
for each post AI checks, the same on every channel.
What next
The first signals appear in the Feed. Have a look at the AI-filtered tab too: it shows exactly what AI dropped and why -
the fastest way to understand whether your search is set up correctly.
