The first step of the wizard is What to look for. Here you explain who the campaign is looking for. The AI picks the keywords from your description; you check the list, remove what does not fit and, if you like, add words of your own.
Name and AI-Brain
- Campaign name - required: it is how you find the campaign in the list and in the feed.
- AI-Brain - which AI-Brain the campaign uses: the AI picks the words from it. With one AI-Brain you see its name. With several, pick the one that describes this campaign's product in the AI-Brain for this campaign field. If the AI-Brain is empty, a Create an AI-Brain button appears next to it. More in the article «Company AI-Brain».
Describe who you are looking for
The main field of the step is Describe who you are looking for. Write in your own words, as you would tell a colleague: what you sell, who buys, what problem brings people to you, who you do not work with. Up to 500 characters.
On your first campaign a Company website field may appear under the description. It is optional: Telegrin reads the site once and builds your AI-Brain from it.
Press Next and the AI picks the words. It takes up to a minute, and the result appears on this same step:
- Here is how we read it - what the AI thinks you sell and who we look for. If that is wrong, edit the description and the words are picked again.
- What else counts as a lead? - tick boxes: job openings on your topic, resumes, discussions of the topic. The answer is pre-filled from your description and can be changed.
- The words we will search by - the words the AI picked. Click a word that is not about you - it is struck out and we will not search by it. Click it again to bring it back.
Then press Next again to move on to the channels.
Your own words and who is not a lead
- Your own words (optional) - if you know the exact word your buyers use, add it: it stays in the campaign for good. Separate words with Enter or a comma: several words typed with spaces count as one phrase.
- Who is definitely not a lead - optional. For example: «freelancers, job seekers, other agencies». This is an instruction for the AI: it rejects such messages during the check.
Write a word the way your buyer writes it. Generic words like «SEO» find posts from all over the world, more often from your peers than from clients. For Ukrainian and Russian, add case forms as separate words.
Languages
Languages your customers write in is required - pick at least one. A post in another language is dropped before the AI check. The Jobs channel (vacancies) has no language filter.
Stop words
Stop words - a message with at least one stop word is dropped at once; the AI never reads it. Up to 50 stop words per campaign.
What to add: irrelevant context («vacancy», «resume», «rent» if you are about sales), competitor names, the typical noise of your chats. A short stem also catches the words built on it - use it with care.
💡 Tip: a stop word cuts a message before the AI, while «Who is definitely not a lead» is applied by the AI during the check. A whole market you do not need is cut more reliably with stop words.
What filtering costs
| Channel | Post dropped by a stop word, language or as too short |
|---|---|
| Telegram, Threads, Bluesky, Hacker News | free |
| LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Jobs | 1 credit: the post has already been collected from the platform |
Everything that passes the filters is read by the AI: 1 credit per message, however many check stages there are. On LinkedIn, in addition, a word that found nothing in a check costs 1 credit. More in the article «Credits: what you are charged for and what is free».
Plan limits
- Trial: up to 10 keywords per campaign across all languages, of which up to 5 can be your own; up to 2 languages.
- Paid plans: up to 50 keywords per campaign, up to half of them your own; up to 3 languages.
The rest of the room is left for the words the AI picks.
Where «Monitoring rules» went
The «Keywords only / Every message» switch has moved from this step to the Telegram channel settings on the Where to look step. It is called Monitoring rules and applies only to your own chats. More in the article «Channels in a campaign: where we search».
When editing
A running campaign also shows Who to look for on this step: People who need it, People who offer it or Both. It decides whose posts become leads when a buyer and a seller write in a similar way.
If you change the description or the languages, the AI picks the words again after you save: the words that were bringing leads stay. Campaigns created before AI search keep the Keywords and Micro-context for AI fields instead of the description.
