Credits: what you are charged for and what is free

Last updated on Oct 15, 2026

1 credit = one message the AI read. However many steps the AI takes inside - the quick pre-filter and the analyst's review - it is one check and one credit. The credit is charged for the check itself, whatever the result: if the AI decides it is not a lead, the credit is still spent.

Your current balance is shown in the app's top bar. Clicking it opens Plan limits.

What a post costs on each channel

Channel 1 credit is charged for Free
Telegram a message the AI read collecting messages and keyword matches; messages filtered out before the AI (stop words, language)
Threads, Bluesky, Hacker News a post the AI read searching for posts; posts filtered out before the AI (stop words, language, too short)
LinkedIn every delivered post, even if a filter drops it before the AI; plus every word that found nothing in a check -
Reddit, X every delivered post, even if a filter drops it before the AI a check that found nothing
Jobs (vacancies) every vacancy we bring into your feed - whether it is shown or filtered out a check that found nothing

On LinkedIn, Reddit, X and Jobs we pay the vendor for every delivered post, so the post costs a credit even if it never reaches the AI. The AI check of such a post is included in that same credit - no second one is charged.

Words that found nothing (LinkedIn)

On LinkedIn, every keyword that found no posts in a check costs 1 credit. A word that did find posts is paid for by its posts, as usual. If the search failed on the vendor's side, nothing is charged. LinkedIn is checked no more than once a day.

You can see these charges in Settings → Billing → Credit spend analytics as the Words that found nothing line.

The language filter

  • Telegram - a message that is not in the campaign's language is dropped before the AI, no credit is charged.
  • Threads, Bluesky, Hacker News - a post in the wrong language never reaches the AI, and the check credit is refunded in full.
  • LinkedIn, Reddit, X - the AI does not read such a post, but the credit for the delivered post stays.
  • Jobs - there is no language filter: the language of a vacancy says nothing about the market, so vacancies are not dropped by language.

Replies to leads

  • AI reply generation or editing - 1 credit. These are the Generate a reply: 1 credit and Regenerate buttons, and the reply Autopilot writes on its own.
  • If you click Mark as lead on a card where an AI responder writes the reply and there is no draft yet, Telegrin writes the reply draft right away - that is 1 credit. Sending it is still up to you.
  • If the AI declined to write a reply and the draft is empty, no credit is charged.
  • A template reply (fixed text) - free.
  • Editing the text by hand and sending the reply - free.

What else is free

  • Lead delivery and notifications - to the Telegram bot, Slack, email, the browser or any other connected delivery channel.
  • Your decisions in the feed - Reject lead, the "Not a lead" reasons, bringing a card back from the archive.
  • One Telegram message is paid for once across the whole workspace, even if several campaigns caught it.
  • AI outage. If the AI was unavailable and the check did not happen, the credit is refunded automatically. On LinkedIn, Reddit, X and Jobs only the credit for the post itself stays.

Scanning chat history follows the same rules: 1 credit per message the AI read. More in the article "Message history scan".

Campaign daily limit

On the Limits and launch step a campaign has one Campaign daily limit for all its channels together: No limit, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 or 5000 messages per day. It caps how many new messages the campaign takes in per day. More in the article "Budgets, check frequency and launch".

If a search on an external channel keeps finding nothing, Telegrin does not pause the campaign on its own: it reminds you every 20 empty checks in a row, and the decision stays with you.

What happens when you run out of credits

  • On a paid plan, Settings → Billing shows You are out of credits: campaigns are paused and do not look for new signals. After a top-up or the next plan grant they resume on their own - there is nothing to restart.
  • On the trial, access is paused within the hour (Access paused): campaigns and agents are paused, all your data stays. To continue, click Choose a package. You cannot top up on the trial - you need a plan first.

We email you when 20% and 5% of the monthly volume is left and when the credits run out. On the trial, the last email is replaced by the one about access being paused.

How to spend less

  1. Remove words that do not work. The Ineffective keywords block on the Home page lists them. On LinkedIn an empty word costs a credit on every check.
  2. Narrow the search itself. On Telegram, Threads, Bluesky and Hacker News, stop words and the language save credits directly. On LinkedIn, Reddit and X the credit is charged for a delivered post, so there the savings come from precise keywords and subreddits.
  3. Edit a draft by hand when you only need to change a few words: regenerating costs a credit.
  4. Check your spend once a week in Settings → Billing → Credit spend analytics: it shows where the credits went and what for.
